Good luck with your run. We learned of your event from our children, Patrick and Maria Kelly. We are especially interested in how you are coping with Crohn’s disease since our thirteen year old Grandaughter who lives in California has just been diagnosed with the disease.

You are certainly an inspiration to others in the way you are combating this malady.

I commend you on all your hard work that you’ve done thus far. Best of luck to you on your training and fund raising for San Antonio. I’m on the National Team and doing this for my daughter who was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis this year. Train hard, don’t give up, and perhaps I’ll see you in San Antonio.

Although the U.S. Presidential candidates’ positions on space exploration have been missing in action from the campaign thus far, the topic is at least being raised online. At nearly the same time I was posting my overview of candidate positions on December 31, the website Space.com also was posting its article “Round Up: Presidential Candidates Talk Space.”

Space.com reached a similar conclusion to my post above, stating, “several of them [presidential candidates] have expressed opinions about space; but most, to our knowledge, have not spoken directly about space, or addressed it at all.” The Space.com article includes several candidate statements and writings of which I was unaware — I recommend checking it out.

Update:
Apparently this issue at our local CVS Pharmacy finally has been resolved — I’ve driven passed that CVS after 9:00 pm several times during the last two weeks, and the store lights and outdoor signs all were lit up.

I now work for CVS; I used to work for a company that was bought by CVS. Your hope that “once management sees the sales for that store and realizes that virtually no one is stopping in after 8:00 pm, then they might see fit to resolve the problem” might be a vain hope.
From our experience, I’d say that nobody at the Woonsocket headquarters has the capability to watch/analyze your local store’s sales, and they don’t want to hear suggestions from your local store’s managers/pharmacist about how to fix things.
I may be wrong, but I expect your local CVS store to stay dark after 8 PM for months, if not years.

By the way, if you’re looking for an easy way to make your iPod’s seem more random, try this:

Create a Smart Playlist on your iPod that plays only songs that have not been played for the past 30 (or 60, or 90) days. When you listen to that Smart Playlist, you’ll hear only those songs that haven’t played recently, giving the impression that your iPod no longer repeats the same songs on a regular basis.
